Dry Futures is BBTG's painfully awaited first full-length, seeing the light of day after four years of heavy touring, victoriously explosive homecomings, breakdowns in communication, joy, abject frustration, imminent property destruction, side projects, glee, and threats of actual gun violence. This record is sort of an experiment in messing around with rock music at its molecular level: ignoring rules whenever possible and coming up with songs that obey their own whims. It's usually fast, short and barely-contained, with tons of weird rhythms, big melodies and disjointed, almost-but-not-quite-over-the-top guitar.
Dynamos got the A-side when the Cards beat the Astros in the 2004 National League Championship Series. That's okay, their song is rad. Released by Emperor X) on his Discos Mariscos label. The record comes with free MP3's of the songs.
Recorded way back in prehistory when we were called Groceries (we lost a bet). Five songs that sound a little different than what we do these days but are still very much us.
Another release under the old name of Groceries. Now defunct, DrillboxIgnition were a fantastic Houston rock band fronted by Josh White, who is now in Dizzy Pilot.
Beautifully designed by Rene Cruz. Hanes Heavywheight, 100% cotton pre-shrunk.
